New redhat 8.4 nodes SNMP issue

Problem:
I have new linux servers to be soon in production. I have installed net-snmp and configured /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf

com2sec notConfigUser default public
group notConfigGroup v2c notConfigUser
view systemview included .1
access notConfigGroup “” any noauth exact systemview none none

Now If I snmpwalk the node, I get return of all because of the .1

so far so good.

I Configure SNMP Community Names by IP Address in opennms
then I add the node to requisition and the node is in opennms, with SNMP, without any graphs for disk space etc …

I really need to monitor disk space on the new linux machine. I only see ICMP graph.

I grep all the logs to see any references to the new nodes, nothing is showing a error.

OpenNMS version: 23.0.4

thank you very much

Well this is embarrassing. The Linux nodes really need net-snmp-utils installed with net-snmp as it turns out. I installed utils, deleted the node, resynched the requisition and now data is available.

Sorry for the bother

thank you for making this great community available for sysadmin like me who are not pro with opennms but rely on it everyday for complete visibility of my infrastructure.
