ICMP Service (via minion) displayed as down - but shown on karaf console as up

The ICMP service is definitely up as verified by hand and by the karaf console:

admin@opennms> opennms:poll --location smile@gs28 --class org.opennms.netmgt.poller.monitors.IcmpMonitor --package pollpkg-smile --service ICMP 192.168.45.9

Package: pollpkg-smile
Service: ICMP
Monitor: org.opennms.netmgt.poller.monitors.IcmpMonitor
Parameter ds-name: icmp
Parameter retry: 2
Parameter rrd-base-name: icmp
Parameter rrd-repository: /opt/opennms/share/rrd/response
Parameter thresholding-enabled: true
Parameter timeout: 3000

Service is Up on 192.168.45.9 using org.opennms.netmgt.poller.monitors.IcmpMonitor:
	response-time: 7928.0000

On the other hand, the service is shown as outage:

Any ideas where to look for?

I can’t tell from the screenshot, but is the node this interface is assigned to a part of the location smile@gs28 ?

Yes, it is part of the location smile@gs28 like shown here:

Do you have minions deployed to that location?

ActiveMQ isn’t renowned for it’s stability in this use-case. Usually purging the queues can get it unwedged. Install the opennms-webapp-hawtio package, navigate to http(s)://your_opennms_server:whateverport/hawtio, log in with the same creds you use for OpenNMS. Under ActiveMQ, for each Queue, click the queue -> Operations -> purge().

Thanks for this great tool. Should be mentioned somewhere in the docs  or I’ve missed it.

But it did not solve the issue.
